The hotel has been owned by the Mitterer family for the last half century, a proud anniversary. In the turbulent history of the house 50 years are only a relatively short span. The first entries can be found already in 1504 (reconstruction after a big fire), and it is proven that in 1562 wine was served for the first time. If you are interested in the rather bloody past of the historic post please ask at the reception.
Enjoy the nights in one of the -24 romantic, comfortable, and with all this modern comfort-equipped rooms. You are welcome to dine with enjoyment in the vault lounge, in the restaurant “Duke’s Room” or in the idyllic Post Garden, (heated in winter) from where you can observe the lively people in the old town.
